lady liberty gets electrified

on srptember 22, 2010 , new york photographer Jay Fine captures the first known image of the statue of liberty being struck by lightning. this event, (although extrordinary) is actually verry common, in fact lady liberty has been known  to be struck by 600 bolts of electicty every year  since she was built in 1886.
Jay fine has been trying to capture this image for over 40 years it took the 58 yearold 81 shots before getting this perfect one. this is what he had to say"I had been watching weather reports so I knew a storm was coming and it just seemed like a great opportunity."
"I was ready and waiting when the lightning finally started and took 81 shots before finally getting this one."
"I was shocked when I realised what had happened."
"It was pure luck really, a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's the first photograph of its kind I have ever seen." and im sure many agree that capturing such an event is verry difficult to do and so I would like to write a shout out to Mr.Fine, gratifying him for taking the time to capture this magnificent event for all to see.
